Today, March 29, 2020, it is five years ago that Sebastian Vettel won his first of 14 victories for Ferrari. Only Niki Lauda (15) and Michael Schumacher (72) have more.
Vettel himself on his victory today:
“When I was on the podium in Malaysia up there, some memories came up, especially from a German perspective. Winning in a Ferrari has always been my dream. When I was growing up, Michael was a hero to me and all of us. I am speaking for all kart driver children in Germany. We looked up to him and whenever he came to see us it was the world for us. When the German and Italian anthems were played that day, one after the other, it was very special. ”
