The Swiss company “Racing Unleashed” brings real cockpits into the virtual racing world. Now at home too.
Ex-Sauber team boss Monisha Kaltenborn (48) brings professional simulators and simracing at home together. The Austrian with Indian roots is now the managing director of “Racing Unleashed”. The Swiss company operates lounges with professional simulators from Ferrari’s hometown of Maranello and thus runs virtual championships in real monocoque, with chassis movements and indicated centrifugal forces.
Kaltenborn: “We combine the feeling of real racing with the virtual possibilities of simracings and thus bring the real cockpit into the virtual world of racing.”
However: Because of COVID-19, the “Racing Unleashed”-Lounges are currently closed. This is why this virtual racing series is now racing across the Simracer’s home screens. If you have a PC, the online gaming service Steam and the game Assetto Corsa, you can go for a record hunt on the race track in Barcelona via www.racing-unleashed.com.
The drivers with the five fastest laps win a trip to a “Racing Unleashed” race in one of the Swiss racing lounges.
